Europe > Portugal > Porto > GuimarãesTradition and old values have been kept through the centuries in the mansion which has been inhabited by the same family since the 15th century ( 1415).
You will have the opportunity to know by the inside what a Portuguese Manor House is like: the Family House , which has been classified as “of public interest"; the outstanding Historical Garden; the 18th century Chapel , which is considered as the most beautiful private chapel in Guimarães; the farm land and the woods.
You will also see traces of an old Guest-House where in old times the pious travellers on their way to Santiago de Compostela could stay and have a rest. Here it is easy to spend some days acquainting yourself with history and tradition. The House holds a magnetic attraction for most visitors.
Paço de Sao Cipriano is near the World Heritage town of Guimarães, in the rich northern region of Portugal: Porto e Norte/Portugal", "cradle" of Port Wine, Peneda-Gerês National Park, several historical towns and villages (Braga, Ponte de Lima, Viana do Castelo) and vast beaches.
